THE LORDS
A Lord's earning power is two ladders multiplied together: the rarity you pull at mint (plus takeovers), and the tier you burn $HEDGE to reach. Both are permanent. Both live as traits on OpenSea.
Ladder one — rolled at mint
Rarity boost
Drawn inside your own mint transaction with instant reveal. Rare pulls earn slightly more, forever — enough to make a grail special, small enough that every Lord stays worth activating.
| Rarity | Share of 5,555 | Yield boost | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| SQUIRE | 55% | 1.00× | The backbone of the court — and takeover fuel |
| KNIGHT | 27% | 1.05× | — |
| BARON | 12% | 1.12× | — |
| DUKE | 5% | 1.18× | — |
| KING | 1% | 1.25× | Hand-finished grails hidden in the collection |
♛ Sample distribution — the final table ships with the verified contract. Minting is wallet-only, which closes the mint-and-cancel trick bots use to re-roll for grails.
Ladder two — burned into place
Activation tiersContracts pending
A freshly bought Lord arrives dormant. Burn $HEDGE to put it on the payroll, and keep burning to climb — tiers are cumulative, permanent, and welded to the token itself. Selling passes the tier along; the buyer pays a small wake burn to switch it back on, and nothing ever resets.
♛ Every burn is permanent and deflationary — $HEDGE is never redistributed, only destroyed. Final multiplier = tier × rarity boost. An Executive King runs at 3.33 × 1.25 = 4.16×.
Mergers & acquisitions
Hostile takeovers
Sacrifice a lower-rarity Lord to permanently raise a greater one. The board always approves.
The rules
Feed a Lord of strictly lower rarity into a better one, plus a $HEDGE burn fee. Each Lord can absorb at most 3 others, with escalating costs per takeover — no infinite god-Lords. The absorbed NFT is destroyed forever; the collection only shrinks from 5,555.
Nothing is lost
The absorbed Lord's entire bank rides into the survivor's vault within the same transaction. The burn destroys the shell — never the contents.
Wear it
Each takeover adds a permanent gold mark to the survivor's art — visible here and on OpenSea. A triple-takeover Lord is recognisable across the room.
Read the tape
The pot is shared, so a boosted Lord takes a bigger slice and every other slice thins by a hair. Your gain is the court's rounding error — and the collection gets permanently rarer. That's the trade, printed in plain ink.
Priced by the market
Live traits on OpenSea
Every number that matters is written into the token's metadata and refreshed automatically (ERC-4906) whenever it changes — so marketplaces always show a Lord's true earning power, and buyers can filter the collection by multiplier.
| Trait | Example | What it tells a buyer |
|---|---|---|
| RARITY | Duke | The boost rolled at mint |
| TIER | Tier 4 | Cumulative $HEDGE burned into the NFT — permanent |
| YIELD MULTIPLIER | 2.95× | Tier × rarity, the number that decides its hourly share |
| TAKEOVERS | 2 / 3 | Absorptions so far, and room left to grow |
| STATUS | Active / Asleep | Whether it's earning right now (wake fee applies after transfer) |
♛ Vault contents change hourly, so they live on our explorer rather than in metadata — check what a Lord is holding there before you buy it.
